Swim Lessons


Summer 2008 Swim Lesson Schedule

Group Lessons:

Session 1: May 12 - May 22 Registration: April 21 - May 9
Session 2: June 2 - June 12 Registration: May 12 - May 31

Lessons run Monday through Thursday for two weeks (8 lessons total)

Class Information:

Parent-Tot: Children ages 6 months to 3 years old
This program can help develop swimming readiness by teaching children to have fun in the water. Through guided practice sessions, children learn skils such asa water entry, bubble blowing, front kicking, back floating, underwater exploration, and more.

Pre-school 1: Children ages 3 - 5 years
This program will help develop swimming readiness through guided practice sessions. Children will learn safe water entry, breath control, kicking, back floating, and basic arm movements.

Pre-school 2: Children ages 3 - 5 years
This program is for children who already have a basic understanding and ability in and around th ewater. This program will continue where Pre-school 1 ended. Children will learn proper arm movements along with kicking. Elementary backstroke and underwater exploration will also be taught.

Pre-school 3: Children ages 3 - 5 years
This program is for children who are able to swim, for the most part, on their own. They know the arm movements, proper kicking technique and breathing. Stroke technique will be improved, endurance will be increased and new strokes will b eintroduced.

All participants in Pre-school must be potty trained, and be able to communicate and follow directions from instructors in order to enroll in group lessons. Participants in parent-tot classes must where a swim diaper in order to enter the water.

$50.00 members
$75.00 non-members

Private Swim Lessons

Private/Semi-Private Lessons:
If more specific attention is what you are looking for, or you have a child that is not in the group class age range, private lessons are for you. These are individual appointments with our swim instructors that allow your child to have one on one time entirely devoted to their needs. Each lesson is thirty minutes in length and times are arranged by you and the instructor. Semi-Private lessons are also an option as well. If you ahve two swimmers that are loking to improve their water skills, these lessons can also be arranged.

Cost:
$12.00 for 30 min. Private Lesson
$20.00 for 30 min. Private Lesson (Two Swimmers Only).
