What are the benefits of massage?
Many people love the idea of indulging in a massage. Massage is a great way to get in touch with your body and prevent illness and injury. Beyond making one feel relaxed, massage therapy offers many different benefits – physical, mental, and emotional. Massage therapy promotes relaxation, improves circulation, enhances mobility, encourages overall well-being, and relieves chronic muscle tension, stiff joints, sprains, and overworked muscles. The benefits of massage are endless!

How do I make my appointment?
Appointments can be made by calling 257-PLAY. All appointments are made through Campus Recreation office and must be prepaid. That means in order to make the appointment, we must have received your payment for the massage. Certificates will be issued upon payment. Massages must be scheduled 48 hours in advance.

Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment?
Cancellations or rescheduling must be done 24 hours in advance of the initially scheduled massage.

Where do I go for my appointment?
Massage therapy takes place in the University Recreation Center. We offer a private massage therapy room with a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Please come to the main office to check in.

What should I wear to my appointment?
Come as you are or wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. Chair massage does not require the removal of any clothing. Table massage is more effective if clothing is removed; however, proper draping (covering with a sheet) is required. A massage typically requires the use of a lubricant. A quick-absorbing crème or lotion suited to your skin type will be chosen to allow you to go about your day without a need for a shower. Your therapist can answer any questions you may have and instructions for undressing to your comfort level.
